What a beautiful day it is today. Blue skies, light wind and wildflowers blooming all over my city, reminded me that today is May Day!
Today I was thinking back to my girlhood, and how much fun we had at school, on May Day. I wonder if youngsters still celebrate the day, like we did. We dressed up the basketball hoops and made garlands of flowers for our hair and danced around the Maypole.
Sigh, I suppose in today’s world, there would be some kind of outcry and the innocent happiness of the Spring, would be turned into something evil and horrible for the students. Ah well, no matter - it is being celebrated in our Home today. Fresh herbs planted, a new garden flag and the feeding of the fairy folk, herald the season, here at The Casa de Kinky.
How bout you? Will you call today, with red and white ribbons in hand and whisper .. lets play Maypole? It could be the start of the most fun, you’ve had since the winter snows melted away!
